In contrast to the daily required Old Covenant animal sacrifices, etc. in the Tabernacle/Temple that God declared as expectations from His people, the New Covenant now identifies the proper and expected response by God’s people to His Glory and Salvation is the proclamation of His Gospel to those in the church and those far from God AS WELL AS the practical, visible, and tangible giving of ourselves to others. This does not earn our salvation but it is absolutely what God expects His children to do.
Continue the good that Christ has and is doing for you by sacrificially giving your time and talents to bless others! (13:6a)
Give money! (13:16b)
Challenge: How are you using your time, abilities and money to put a smile on God’s face? How are you serving people in the local church? How are you using your finances to financially support the local church? How are you using your time, abilities and money to bless and serve those who are far from God that you do life?

What are you proclaiming to your family, friends and neighbors? Are you communicating a cultural Christianity of religious values, rules and expectations or are you proclaiming the actual transformational, genuine, eternal relationship with God that is exclusively provided by Christ and all He accomplished for us?
Are you yourself being transformed by the Gospel so that what you share with others about Jesus helps explain to them what they have already seen at work in you?
