Those Far From God

Bible Passage: Acts 1:3-11

Who are the people far from God that you are intentionally building a sincere relationship with?

Those Far From God

Acts 1:3-11

“Engage those far from God with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to know and follow Him.”

  1. Jesus proved to them that He indeed physically rose from the grave. (1:3a)
  2. Jesus reminded them that one of the promises of the New Covenant is the Holy Spirit living in them! (1:4-5)
  3. Jesus explained the difference between His Kingdom and the Kingdom of this world. (1:3b; 6-7)
  4. Jesus reminded them that the power they were being given was to make them effective at leading people from every nation who are far from God into His Kingdom! (1:8)

Challenge:

We are commanded to intentionally engage (build sincere relationships) with people who are far from God (not living in His Kingdom) so that we can lead them into His Kingdom. This command certainly includes people who are in your people group but it also includes those who are not! Therefore, who are the people far from God that you are intentionally building a sincere relationship with who are not like you?
