Ministry Opportunities at Venture

Venture believes being a part of your local church means getting involved. Bring your talents and we’ll put ’em to work.

Venture 101 – Start Here!

This one-session class is designed to help you learn about the Purpose, Mission, Structure and Function of Venture.

Classes are held every couple months – and a meal is provided (bonus!). Watch our Facebook page for the next one.

Anyone interested in partnering or learning more about Venture is encouraged to attend.

Music & Media Production

Our culture has been conditioned to listen and learn through media. Countless varieties of music, video, graphics, blogs, podcasts, Facebook, etc. are a part of daily life and each of these varieties are being pushed to the limits of creativity and uniqueness on a daily basis. The reality of our culture and passages like 1 Corinthians 9 mandate us to be intensely relevant in the delivery of His truth.

Habitat for Humanity

We partner with Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County to build homes. Habitat’s philosophy is based on the “Theology of the Hammer,” a theory that people of all backgrounds can come together to work on a building project for the betterment of families and communities. Habitat gives families a “hand up, not a hand out”; families are required to contribute “sweat equity” hours toward the building of their own homes and in other Habitat projects.

The Children’s Ministry at Venture exists to connect children to Christ. We partner with parents to grow, equip and send them out to change the world for Christ.

Ain’t no baby-sitting going on here. This is a fun, safe place where children can experience God’s Word in a relevant and meaningful way.

*All children’s ministry volunteers are required to pass a state background check.

Singles & Young Adults

This ministry is designed to help young adults as they are starting life through college and into careers by not only learning what the Bible says about the challenges they will face but building meaningful relationships with other believers to help apply this knowledge to their life. It targets young adults who have just graduated from high school until the age of 29.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s ministry is an opportunity for men to grow and live in the reality of the abundant life that Jesus spoke of in John 10:10. Its an opportunity for men to feel welcomed by the church no matter if they have walked with Christ for 20 years or are they are just checking out what it means to follow Christ.

Home Life Groups

At Venture we make it a big deal to encourage adults to plug into a home group. It’s simply the best platform we have to experience true community with other believers. Groups meet in home throughout the area so there’s a good chance there’s one near you!

Venture Student Ministry (VSM)

VMS mentors challenge students to have an impact for Christ on their campus. Godly adult leaders are needed for Sunday morning Bible study, Wednesday night gatherings and summer camp at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

Women’s Ministry

Women at Venture serve together in prayer, Bible study and reaching out to local organizations such as Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Least of These needs volunteers to work at the office, warehouse and during upcoming events. Donations are also welcome. They currently need new or like-new clothing for newborns to teens, blankets, diapers & wipes, toys, books, and other children’s items for their bags of hope program.

Boys and Girls Club of Greater Gaston
